Since its foundation, the Portuguese Association for Health Economics (APES) has promoted the dissemination and discussion of Health Economics in Portugal.
Health Economics has received increasing attention from academics, practitioners and politicians, which has led to a rise in the production of debates, interventions and research in this area.
The APES conferences have sought to be a space for debate and presentation of research in Health Economics produced in academic institutions and professional organizations in the health sector. In the current COVID-19 context, Health Economics debate becomes increasingly relevant.
The 17th Portuguese National Conference on Health Economics ensures the continuity of this debate space and promotes the discussion of topics that have occupied researchers, with special emphasis on what refers to Portugal.
